PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Because intolerance and prejudice are often at the root of harassing and violent behavior, PCTN's programs and services are designed to:
  · foster tolerance and alternatives to violence
  · empower and support minorities
  · engender an acceptance of diversity and an appreciation for our common human values, dreams, and struggles.

Toward that end, PCTN's two primary objectives have been support and prevention.

Support
The Victim Support & Advocacy program directly assists anyone who is a target of hate-motivated behavior.

Prevention
PCTN's activities are designed to
  · raise awareness -- through annual events for the community
  · educate -- through forums that explore diverse cultures and ideas

Youth programs expand kids' understanding of bullying and hurtful teasing, and promote empathy and respectful interaction.
