Few of us are free from preconceptions and stereotyped images of others, but all of us can make this awareness a positive step toward bias-free communication and behavior.

The Paradise Center for Tolerance and Nonviolence is committed to speaking out and standing up for respect and dignity for all. We have organized community rallies in response to hate graffiti and in protest to the distribution of hate literature. We are creating a Hate Tracking system, in collaboration with the Paradise Police Department, the Butte County Sheriff’s Department, and Chico State faculty members. Our Media Response Team speaks up in the local press.
